This section provides notes for deploying Avaya Workplace Client users in a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment. This is supported in IP Office R11.1 FP2 or higher with Avaya Workplace Client R3.22 or higher.
In basic outline, the solution uses two clients.
One installed on the user's virtual desktop and used for call control.
The other installed on the local PC from which the user accesses their virtual desktop. This client is used purely for the call media of calls controlled by the client running on the virtual desktop.
The user needs to be logged in on both clients at the same time.
This is supported for Power User and Unified Communications User user profiles.
