IP Office R11.1 FP1 SP1 and higher.

User Clients

Users can make and answer calls using the following clients. The client supported is configurable for the customer installation.

  • Avaya Calling Extension - This is a Google Chrome extension which uses WebRTC.

  • Avaya Workplace - Version 3.16 and higher. This client uses SIP for calls.

one-X Portal

The following features require the IP Office system to include a one-X Portal server:

  • Chrome Extension - WebRTC for calls using the Chrome extension requires the Avaya one-X Portal. It also requires the WebRTC Gateway service on the same server.

    • The IP Office supports resilience on networks with a secondary Avaya one-X Portal.

    • IP500 V2 systems must use an IP Office Application Server for Avaya one-X Portal and WebRTC.

  • SSO - Single sign-on support through either of the clients.

Remote Clients

For user connections from remote clients:

  • You must route all connections through the customer firewall or an ASBCE.

  • DNS must resolve all external and internal addresses as required.
