Last Updated : Apr 03, 2026 |

This chapter covers the common configuration for IP Office systems to support Avaya Cloud Services. These steps are prerequisites to the configuration for specific features covered in the following chapters.

You can use Avaya Cloud Services to enable and support a range of additional features:

Feature

Description

User Synchronization

The IP Office can share details of users with a Unique Identity (email address) with Avaya Cloud Services. Those users can then:
  • Log in and use Avaya Spaces.

    • From February 2025, Avaya Spaces for meetings and conferences is no longer available for new customers. It is supported for existing customers until the end of their existing contract.

  • Register Avaya Workplace Client using their Unique Identity email address.

    • Not supported with IPv6.

Workplace SSO login

Using Avaya Cloud Services, you can also configure the IP Office for users to log in to Avaya Workplace Client using their Google, Office 365, or Salesforce account.

Apple Push Notification

The IP Office can use Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) to send push notifications to Avaya Workplace Client users on iOS devices. If iOS has suspended the client, the user can use controls in the notification to restart the client.

Use Avaya Calling

Avaya calling lets users make and receive IP Office calls through Avaya Cloud Services.

Use Avaya Calling for MS Teams

Make and answer calls within Microsoft Teams. See the Deploying Avaya Calling for MS Teams with IP Office manual.
