Registering the Slave Base Station

The slave base station needs to register and be synchronized with the master base station. Use the master base station configuration to register the slave base station.
Note:
The following instructions assume you are installing an IPBS2/IPBS3 , which has one LED lamp. The IPBS1 has two LED lamps. For more information on the base station LED’s and what their statuses indicate, see Base Station Status Lamps.
  1. Login to the master base station.
  2. Select Device Overview and then select the Radios tab.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    STEP RESULT:
    The new slave base station is shown as an unregistered device.
  3. Click on Add.
  4. On the pop-up menu that appears, click OK.
    STEP RESULT:
    The slave base station will be listed as a registered device.
    Note:
    It can take up to two minutes for a slave base station to synchronize with the master base station. During this time, the LED flashes fast blue and the status shows Not in sync. Once in sync, the LED changes to blue with a yellow flash and the status changes to OK.
