Changing the state of a zone and assigning a failover zone

Last Updated : Jul 20, 2022 |
Prolog information
You can use the Supervisor Dashboard to:
  • Change the state of a zone to Up or Down.
    Caution:
If you change the state of a zone to Down and if a failover zone is unavailable, all agents who are logged into the zone are forcefully logged out after the grace period configured in the WaitForHaAgents parameter elapses. The WaitForHaAgents parameter is configured in the pim_config table of the POM database.
The default value of the WaitForHaAgents parameter is two minutes.
  • Assign a failover zone.
The Zone Settings Zone Settings icon option is displayed on the Supervisor Dashboard web interface only if your user account has the required privileges to view the zone settings.
Before you begin
Before you assign a failover zone, add at least one contact list, which is created for the failover zone, to the campaign. Otherwise, the zone failover does not work and POM cannot dial the contacts for the campaign from the failover zone.
  1. In Supervisor Dashboard, click Zone Settings Zone Settings icon.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The system displays the Zone Settings page.
Zone Name displays the zones that are configured in POM.
  2. Click Edit Edit icon corresponding to the zone.
  3. In the Zone State field, set the state for the zone.
  4. In the Failover Zone field, assign a failover zone for the zone.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
You can assign a failover zone only when you are setting the state of the zone displayed in the Zone Name field to Down.
This field does not display zones that are in a Down state.
  5. Click Save Save icon.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The Save option is available after you perform changes in the zone settings.
However, if your user account does not have the required privileges to modify the zone settings, the Save option remains unavailable.
