Configure the SIP account to make calls from the codec using the SIP protocol. You can also specify the name and realm for SIP authentication and the proxy server to use.
Procedure
On the Settings menu, select Account.
On the Account screen, select the SIP account to configure and select Edit.
From the Account Type list, select SIP.
To register the codec as a SIP endpoint, enable the Register SIP switch.
In the Account field, enter the SIP username to authenticate the device before a VoIP session.
In the Register Password field, enter the SIP password.
The password must match the password value specified on the SIP server to authenticate the codec successfully.
In the Register Server field, enter the domain name of the SIP server, gateway, or session border controller to use for SIP authentication.
In the Proxy Server field, enter the IP address or FQDN of the proxy server.
In the Authentication Username field, enter the username to verify that the device is part of the SIP profile.
Select Confirm to save the configuration and return to the Settings menu.
