Configuring audio input

About this task

You can enable and configure one or more audio inputs, including LINE IN, HDMI, and microphone inputs. The HDMI and microphone settings vary depending on your codec model. You can also select an audio input to use for presentations and mute all incoming audio during conferences.

Procedure

  1. On the Settings menu, go to Audio > Audio Input.
  2. On the Audio Input page, for the Input Volume setting, select the level of the audio input volume.
  3. To enable and adjust the LINE IN audio input, select the Enable Linear In check box.
  4. If you enabled the LINE IN audio input, for the Linear Input Digital Gain setting, select the level of digital signal amplification for this input.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • For C130 and C170, select the Enable HDMI-IN check box to enable and adjust the HDMI audio input.

    • For C190, select the Enable HDMI1 Audio In check box to enable and adjust the HDMI 1 audio input.

  6. If you enabled the HDMI or HDMI 1 audio input, select the level of digital signal amplification for this input.
  7. For C190, to enable and adjust the HDMI 2 audio input, select the Enable HDMI2 Audio In check box and select the input signal level.
  8. Do one of the following:
    • For C130 and C170, select the Enable Inner Mic Audio In check box to enable and adjust the built-in microphone audio input.

    • For C190, select the Enable Cannon-mic Audio In check box to enable and adjust the MIC IN audio input to which you attached a microphone with a cannon cable.

  9. If you enabled the microphone audio input, select the level of digital signal amplification for this input.
  10. For C170, select the Enable Mini Canon-mic audio in check box to enable and adjust the MIC IN audio input to which you attached a microphone with a cannon cable.
  11. Do one of the following:
    • For C130 and C170, select the Take hdmiin as presentation audio check box to use the HDMI input audio for presentations.

    • For C190, select the Take HDMI IN2 As Presentation Audio check box to use the HDMI 2 input audio for presentations.

  12. To use the audio from the LINE IN input for presentations, select the Take LINE IN As Presentation Audio check box.
  13. To mute the codec audio during conferences, select the Mute During Conference check box.
  14. Click Save.
