Configuring video settings

About this task

Configure the basic video settings, including video input and output sources and resolution, pan, tilt, and zoom (PTZ) for a connected camera, and video image mode. You can also enable media optimization for a smoother video image and configure PTZ presets for the camera.

Procedure

  1. On the Settings menu, select Video.
  2. In the Mainstream Input and Presentation Input sections, from the Signal Source list, select the video signal source for the main video and presentation inputs.

    The resolution value updates depending on the selected input and the connected device. For Avaya Room System C190, the Camera Compose input is the combination of HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 inputs.

  3. In the Video Output HDMI1 and Video Output HDMI2 sections, from the Output Mode list, select the output signal source.
  4. For the Resolution setting, select the video output resolution.
  5. To reduce jitter and achieve a smoother video image, toggle on the Media Optimization switch.
  6. In the Camera Settings section, for the Focusing setting, select Start.

    The GUI menu displays the real-time video screen, and you can manage the pan, tilt, and zoom settings.

  7. After adjusting the PTZ settings, on the remote control, press Back to return to the Video screen.
  8. For the Image Mode setting, select the video image mode corresponding to your location and lighting conditions.

    For example, you can select Outdoor for sporting events and outdoor conferences.

  9. For the Preset Position setting, select Edit.
  10. On the Preset Position screen, select the slot to configure and save a PTZ preset.
  11. On the real-time video screen, adjust the C130 or C170 PTZ settings with the remote control and select Save.
  12. To access the camera OSD menu on C130 or C170, for the Built-in Menus setting, select Camera.
  13. To disable the camera when the codec is in an idle state, toggle on the Turn Off Camera When Idle switch.
  14. To disable the camera by default when joining a conference call, toggle on the Join And Turn Off The Camera switch.
  15. On the remote control, press Back to return to the Settings menu.
