Recording management

Last Updated : Aug 04, 2025 |

You can record audio and video received from remote and built-in microphones and cameras using one of the following methods:

  • Real-time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) protocol: to send the recorded data to a streaming server

  • H.323 protocol: to send the data to a remote server for storage

  • Connected USB drive

You can manage recording options from the Record subtab of the Video tab on the Settings menu. By default, the recording capability is disabled. After configuring RTMP, H.323, or USB recording options, you must enable the corresponding recording type from the Record Control tab of the Control menu in the codec web interface. If required, you can also keep the recording capability disabled. For more information about managing recordings, see the call setup section in Using Avaya Room System C100 Series.

USB recordings are saved in the .MP4 format. If you use an RC212, RC220, or RC240 camera for recording and configure time overlay, the camera timestamp is displayed on the recorded video. You can configure time overlay settings on the Overlay tab of the camera web interface. For more information about configuring video overlay settings, see the web interface section in Using Avaya Room Camera RC212 and Avaya Room Camera RC220 and Using Avaya Room Camera RC240.
