Web interface Settings menu overview

Last Updated : Nov 03, 2025 |

You can access the web interface by entering the codec IP address in the Google Chrome browser. The web interface supports only an HTTPS connection and converts HTTP links into HTTPS. Before accessing the codec web interface, ensure that the HTTPS connection is enabled from the GUI menu. For more information about enabling the web interface connection, see Configuring global settings.

Google Chrome is the supported browser for codec administration and configuration. In certain instances, Google Chrome might cache web interface pages, preventing you from viewing all the available details. If that occurs, press Ctrl+F5 to refresh the page and view up-to-date information.

The Settings menu is located at the bottom of the web interface side pane. If the system administrator password is enabled, you need to enter it to access the Settings menu.

The following table lists the Settings menu subtabs and describes the configuration you can perform from them:

Subtab name

Description

Network

Configure IP, firewall, quality of service, and SNMP settings. For IP configuration, you can use DHCP address assignment or set a static IP address. When configuring SNMP parameters, you can select version 1, 2c, or 3.

Account

Set up the codec display name for calls and configure account settings. For H.323, and SIP accounts, you can unregister an unused account or manually configure the settings for authentication and calling.

The device management platform configuration from the MQTT Configuration subtab is not currently supported.

Call

Configure calling features and parameters, such as Auto Answer, call blocking with incorrect SIP passwords, and obtaining a presentation from the secondary video stream. You can also configure the codec as a multipoint control unit (MCU) to use video conferencing features.

Audio

Configure audio input and output settings, echo elimination, USB audio, and digital microphone. You can also select audio codecs. When configuring audio input and output, you can enable one or more channels to use different audio devices with the codec. With echo elimination features, you can eliminate echo, unwanted background noises, and repetitive sounds.

Video

Set up video input and output, screen layout, and video encoding. From the HDMI-1 Layout or HDMI-2 Layout subtabs, you can determine what screen layouts are available for selection on the Layout GUI menu.

Record

Choose between the Real-time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) and H.323 protocols for recording audio and video received from cameras. You can also save the recorded video on a USB drive and select the recording mode.

Security

Configure global security settings, import a PKCS #12 certificate bundle, and set up H.323 and SIP encryption. Global security settings include TLS version, USB mode, administrator password for the Settings menu, and screensaver.

From the Security subtab, you can also add an IP address to the blocklist to prevent the use of non-secure and outdated IP addresses for web interface access.

Protocol

Enable H.323 and SIP protocols and configure the related settings to call inbound and outbound phone numbers. When configuring the H.323 protocol, you can also enable H.239 for dual video streaming.

Subtitles

Set up the codec name, banner, and scrolling captions to show on top of the video output coming from the codec. You can also define the position of each type of text relative to the central horizontal and vertical lines of the video, ensuring that the texts do not overlap.

Language

Change the web interface language for easier configuration. When you select the new language, the web interface reloads and then displays the Login page in the selected language. You can also change the web interface language from the Login page.

Others

Set up the codec date and time, logging levels, export and import the current configuration, upgrade the codec software, and perform a factory reset. Before upgrading the Avaya Room System C100 Series software, read carefully Upgrade process for Avaya Room System C100 Series and choose the upgrade method applicable to your environment.

Adding applications to the allowlist from the White List subtab is not currently supported.
