In North America, the management of emergency calls (E911) is regulated and there are several features that enable first responders to locate and arrive at the caller's location. Avaya Room System C100 Series uses a SIP RFC compliant UUID parameter that 911inform can use to provide a location cross-reference. Avaya Room System C100 Series also provides a proprietary SIP parameter +av.mac, which can be used by 911inform and the 911 Secure SENTRY™ system for call location identification.
