Configuring a codec name

About this task

You can configure a codec name to show on top of the video output coming from the codec. You can also define the name position relative to the video central horizontal and vertical lines so that the name does not overlap with the banner text.

Avaya Room System C170 and Avaya Room System C190 do not display the codec name on the HDMI2 output.

Procedure

  1. On the Settings menu, go to Subtitles > Terminal Name.
  2. On the Terminal Name page, for the Subtitle Display setting, select Enable.
  3. For the Font Size setting, select the codec name font size.
  4. If you selected the custom font size option, in the Text Pixel field, type the font size in pixels.
  5. For the Font Position setting, select the codec name position relative to the OLED display center.
  6. For the Lateral Offset setting, select the codec name position relative to the OLED display horizontal central line.
  7. For the Vertical Offset setting, select the codec name position relative to the OLED display vertical central line.
  8. If you selected the custom option for the offset, in the Offset Pixel field, type the number of pixels between the codec name and the central horizontal or vertical line of the display.
  9. Select the font and background color.
  10. For the Background Transparency setting, select one of the following options:
    • Transparent: To set a transparent background.

    • Opaque: To set a non-transparent background.

  11. In the text box, type the codec name.
  12. To send the name to the codec display, click Send.
