The codec is stuck at boot-up

The codec is stuck at boot-up and displays the Avaya logo or animation.

Solution

Procedure

  1. Disconnect all cables from the codec except for the power adapter and HDMI 1 OUT.
  2. Restart the codec.
  3. If the codec boots up, connect one cable at a time and restart the codec after connecting each cable to determine the issue.
  4. If, after performing steps 1 to 3, the codec is stuck at the start-up animation, press and hold the Reset button until the codec displays the Avaya logo.

    This action retains the current software version.

  5. If the codec is stuck at the Avaya logo, power off the codec, press and hold the Reset button, and then power on the codec.

    You must release the button after the primary HDMI output displays Installing System Update. This action restores the factory-installed software version.
