Accessing Branch Gateway through the Services port

About this task

You can access CLI locally using a computer.

Procedure

  1. Use a computer with the SSH client software.
  2. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the computer to the Services port located at the front panel of the Branch Gateway.
  3. Set the TCP/IP properties of the computer as follows:
    1. IP address = 192.11.13.5
    2. Subnet mask = 255.255.255.252
    3. Disable DNS service
    4. Disable WINS Resolution

    Note down any change to IP addresses, DNS servers, or WINS entries you change when configuring your laptop.

  4. Set the IP address of SSH to 192.11.13.6.
    Note:

    By default, SSH is enabled, and Telnet is disabled. If you want to use Telnet, you must enable it.
