You must connect an IP phone to an external Ethernet switch. On G450 Branch Gateway, you must connect this switch to a LAN port. This port is labeled “10/5” or “10/6”.

If the phone is not an Avaya IP phone, you can connect it to any port on the network switch. Note the slot and port number on G450 Branch Gateway to which you connect the phone.
