CLI commands for upgrading Branch Gateway firmware via SCP/FTP/TFTP/HTTPS

You can use CLI commands to upload an upgrade file to Branch Gateway. For each of these commands, include the full path of the file and the IP address of the SCP, FTP, TFTP, or HTTPS host as parameters. You must use the specific path to the file on the SCP, FTP, TFTP or HTTPS server according to the home directory of the service (SCP, FTP, TFTP or HTTPS) that you are using. When you enter the command, the CLI prompts you for a username and password.

  • Use the copy ftp module command, followed by the module number of the module you want to upgrade, to upgrade the firmware on a media module from an FTP server.

  • Use the copy ftp SW_imageA command to upgrade the Branch Gateway firmware into Bank A from an FTP server.

  • Use the copy ftp SW_imageB command to upgrade the Branch Gateway firmware into Bank B from an FTP server.

  • Use the copy tftp module command, followed by the module number of the module you want to upgrade, to upgrade the firmware on a media module from a TFTP server.

  • Use the copy tftp SW_imageA command to upgrade the Branch Gateway firmware into Bank A from a TFTP server.

  • Use the copy tftp SW_imageB command to upgrade the Branch Gateway firmware into Bank B from a TFTP server.

  • Use the copy scp module command, followed by the module number of the module you want to upgrade, to upgrade the firmware on a media module from an SCP server.

  • Use the copy scp SW_imageA command to upgrade the Branch Gateway firmware into Bank A from an SCP server.

  • Use the copy scp SW_imageB command to upgrade the Branch Gateway firmware into Bank B from an SCP server.

  • Use the copy https module command, followed by the module number of the module you want to upgrade, to upgrade the firmware on a media module from an HTTP or HTTPS server.

  • Use the copy https SW_imageA command to upgrade the Branch Gateway firmware into Bank A from an HTTP or HTTPS server.

  • Use the copy https SW_imageB command to upgrade the Branch Gateway firmware into Bank B from an HTTP or HTTPS server.

  • Use the copyedge scp module command, followed by the module number of the module you want to upgrade, to upgrade the firmware on a media module from an SCP server via Avaya SBC tunnel.

  • Use the copyedge scp SW_imageA command to upgrade the Branch Gateway firmware into Bank A from an SCP server via Avaya SBC tunnel.

  • Use the copyedge scp SW_imageB command to upgrade the Branch Gateway firmware into Bank B from an SCP server via Avaya SBC tunnel.

Note:

The firmware image for G450 v1, v2, and v3 is g450_sw_42_4_0.bin.

The firmware image for G450 v4 is different than that of G450 v1, v2, v3: g450v4_sw_42_4_0.bin.
