Last Updated : Feb 16, 2022 |

About this task

You can upgrade firmware through SCP/FTP/TFTP/HTTPS using the CLI. You can perform the upgrade remotely using a modem connection, but the upgrade files must first be downloaded to an SCP, FTP, TFTP, or HTTPS server on the LAN connected to Branch Gateway.

Procedure

  1. Prepare installation worksheets.
  2. Set up an SCP, FTP, TFTP, or HTTPS server on the LAN connected to the Branch Gateway.

For information about setting up a file server, see Setting up a TFTP server.

If you use an FTP server, the Branch Gateway prompts you for a username and password when you enter a command to transfer a file.

  3. Download the firmware files to the SCP, FTP, TFTP, or HTTPS server.
  4. Run the required CLI commands.
