Approved grounds

Last Updated : Jan 06, 2022 |

There are two methods for equipment grounding.

  • Based on NFPA 70: National Electrical Code (NEC). You must comply with NFPA 70: NEC or with the equivalent local electrical code or grounding requirements.

  • Based on ANSI/EIA/TIA-607 Commercial Building Grounding (Earthing) and Bonding Requirements for Telecommunications (TIA-607), which provides an enhanced, communication-specific grounding scheme.

Important:

Ensure that approved grounds are accessible from the installation site and that a trained technician or licensed electrician all grounds and a supplementary ground conductor.

If required, hire a certified power contractor or auditor prior to system installation or cutover.
