You can mount the Branch Gateway in a standard 19-inch rack. If the rack has another equipment installed, place Branch Gateway so as to prevent imbalance.
The Branch Gateway weighs 21 lb (9.5 kg) empty and up to 44 lb (20 kg) with media modules, an S8300 Server, and two power supply units.
Before you begin
Ensure that the Branch Gateway power supply is disconnected.
Ensure that the rack is bolted to the floor and is earthquake-protected, if required.
Attach mounting brackets.
Procedure
Insert two mounting screws, one on each side of the rack.
These are the bottom screws of the mounting brackets. Turn the screws only 3–4 times so that a part of them is protruding.
Place the Branch Gateway in the rack so that the bracket bottoms are resting on the protruding screws.
Place the Branch Gateway in the rack.
Ensure that there is enough space for ventilation.
Insert four rack mounting screws, two on each side.
Ensure that the Branch Gateway is level.
Tighten the rack mounting screws.
Do not over-tighten the screws.
Either tighten the two bottommost screws or remove them completely.
Ensure that the ventilation vents are not obstructed.
