You can connect Branch Gateway directly to a WAN endpoint device because Branch Gateway has an internal router. You can also connect a WAN endpoint device to Branch Gateway through an external router.
Note:
WAN media modules are end-of-sale since 2010 and not supported on G450 Branch Gateway v4.
Depending on the WAN link type, the procedures of connecting WAN to Branch Gateway are different.
