If you install an S8300 server, ensure that you have the following hardware:

• One USB CD/DVD-ROM drive (Avaya Comcode 700406267).

• A laptop computer with Internet Explorer.

If you do not install an S8300 server, ensure that you have the following hardware:

• A PC on the local network.

• Optional USB flash drive.

• A laptop running a supported version of Windows, a USB port for a USB Serial adaptor cable, and a RJ45 cable. If using the serial port, the port being used will appear under a list in Device Manager on your laptop.
