Electrostatic discharge alert

Wear an anti-static wrist ground strap when handling Branch Gateway components. Connect the strap to an approved ground, such as an unpainted metal surface.

Procedure

  1. Unpack Branch Gateway and accessories.
  2. Check the package contents against the customer order.
  3. Cross-check the customer order with the planning documentation.

For the list of media modules, phones and other equipment, and their placement, see your planning and shipping documentation.

  4. Verify that all necessary elements have been received and are in good condition.
  5. Do a damage inspection of the assembly and its component as follows:
    1. Examine all relevant component for damage.
    2. Make a 'defective on arrival - DOA' report or RMA to the operator.

Do not move the shipping carton until the operator examines it. The operator or regional representative initiates the necessary procedure to process the RMA. They guide the network administrator on how to return the damaged package, if necessary.

    3. If no damage is found, unwrap all the components and dispose empty package / cartons(s) under country-specific environmental regulations.

If you have any questions about the equipment order, or if the equipment has been damaged, contact your supplier.
