Emergency calling

Users cannot select an emergency location when logging in to Avaya Workspaces with Avaya Experience Platform™ (On-Prem + Connect). However, if the user uses a third-party software, the user can enter or select an emergency location in the third-party software. The emergency service provider uses the emergency location to locate the user and send help. For example, the emergency service provider can send an ambulance to the received emergency location.

The customer is responsible for setting up the emergency calling solution. Avaya Experience Platform™ (On-Prem + Connect) is not a telephony provider. Avaya Experience Platform™ (On-Prem + Connect) uses the existing functioning telephony to make emergency calls. The customer must deploy the emergency calling solution to its customers after validating that emergency calling works.
