Adding a routing rule for a trunk

Last Updated : Nov 07, 2024 |
Prolog information
Routing rules determine which trunk is used when an agent dials an outbound call. You can use prefixes, digit length, and the outbound SIP trunk to determine the rule. You can also set a priority for the trunks by dragging them in order. For example, if you have two trunks with a prefix of +1, you can prioritize which trunk to use based on the remaining settings.
  1. In the navigation tree, click ChannelsVoice.
  2. On the Routing Rules tab, click Add New Rule.
  3. In the Prefix field, type the number prefix.
  4. In the Minimum String Length field, enter the minimum number of digits
  5. In the Maximum String Length field, enter the maximum number of digits.
  6. In the Outbound SIP Trunk list, select a SIP trunk for outbound traffic.
  7. In the Caller ID field, select the number to appear as the caller ID.
  8. Optional: In the Agent Locations list, select one or more locations.
  9. From the Preferred Media Processing Location area, in the Country list, select the country.
  10. In the Region list, select the region.
  11. Click Save.
  12. To set the priority for a trunk, click the Drag icon and drag the row up or down.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The priority is listed from 1 onwards, with 1 being the highest priority.
