Creating an SNMPv3 user profile

Prolog information
You must create an SNMPv3 user profile so that Avaya Aura® System Manager can receive Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway alarms.
Before you begin
Ensure to log in to Avaya Aura® System Manager.
  1. In Avaya Aura® System Manager, click ServicesInventoryManage Serviceability AgentsSNMPv3 User Profiles.
  2. Click New.
  3. On the View User profile page, in the User Details section, do the following:
    1. In the User Name field, type the Avaya Aura® System Manager name.
      ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
      Specify the username as initial.
    2. In the Authentication Protocol field, click SHA as the protocol used to authenticate the source of traffic from SNMPv3 users.
    3. In the Privacy Protocol field, click AES as the encryption for SNMP-based communication.
    4. In the Privileges field, click Read/Write to perform GET and SET operations.
    5. Click Done.
