Resource management overview

Last Updated : Mar 27, 2025 |

From Admin Portal, you can manage specific resources, such as stations or agent login IDs, regardless of their association with a user. Therefore, for each resource, the resource identifier must be explicitly specified.

Each resource has the Location, Org Unit, and Public Resource fields.

From System Admin, you can manage Location and Org Unit. The location and org unit pair is called a group. Each group maps to extension ranges and templates.

Public Resource specifies whether a resource is public or not. To show resources to all the users, you can set Public Resource to Yes.

Role-based access for resources

If the user or the location and org unit pair is associated with a certain group scope, then the user can see those resources that are allowed for the user. You can associate the location and org unit pair to a group scope on the Authorization > Group Scope page in System Admin. You can associate the user to a group scope on the Authorization > User Authorization page in System Admin.
