ppp pap sent-username

Sets the Password Authentication Protocol (PAP) password for authentication with the remote peer.

Note:

This command is not backward-compatible. If you downgrade to version 3.x or earlier, reconfigure this command on the gateway.

Syntax

ppp pap sent-username username password password

no ppp pap sent-username

password	The remote peer PAP password

To set the PAP password to avaya32 with password 123456:

Gxxx-001(super-if:FastEthernet 10/3)# ppp pap sent-username avaya32 password 
123456
