Restore USB

Restores gateway files from a USB mass storage device.

Note:

The restore operation does not fail if a specific file is missing or incompatible with the MM hardware.

Note:

In the FIPS mode, you can only restore from a backup that you perform on the same gateway. You cannot restore from a backup that you perform on a gateway that is in the non-FIPS mode.

Note:

In FIPS mode, identity certificates are not backed up to the USB device and must be downloaded again after the restore operation.

Syntax

restore usb usb-devicebackup-name [{announcements-internal-flash | announcements-compact-flash}]

A keyword indicating to restore the announcement files to the internal flash

Examples

To restore gateway files from directory gatewaybackup1 on usb-device0:

Gxxx-001(super)# restore usb usb-device0 gatewaybackup1

To restore announcement files from directory 2 on usb-device0 to the compact flash:

Gxxx-001(super)# restore usb usbdevice0 2 announcements-compact-flash
Restore operation will remove existing files on the gateway. Do not remove USB
device until the end of operation. Do you want to continue (Y/N)? y
