ip vrrp timer

Sets the virtual router advertisement timer value for the virtual router ID. Use no ip vrrp timer to restore the default value.

Syntax

[no] ip vrrp vr_id timer value


Parameter	Description	Possible Values	Default Value
vr_id	The virtual router ID	1-255
value	The advertisement transmit time in seconds	1-255

interface:FastEthernet (L2-L3, L2), VLAN (L2-L3, L2)

To set the virtual router advertisement timer value for virtual router 3 to 2 seconds:

Gxxx-001(if:Vlan 2)# ip vrrp 3 timer 2
