The cluster database contains different databases defined by the snap-ins installed on the cluster. You can perform a backup on one cluster and restore on another.
Before you begin
Important:
If backing up a cluster from a pre-R3.9 Avaya Breeze® platform as part of upgrading to R3.9 or higher:
Take a backup as detailed below. You can use this backup to restore the database if you need to rollback to the pre-3.9 release.
Install the clusterDBMigrationService-3.9.0.0 service and take another backup. You can use this to restore the database after upgrading.
You cannot use a Windows server as the backup destination. Windows servers are incompatible with the Cluster Backup and Restore feature.
In System Manager, click ElementsAvaya Breeze®Cluster Administration.
Click Backup and Restore Configure.
Enter the backup server details.
Click Test Connection to verify the connection of the backup server.
Click Commit.
Select the cluster that you want to backup and click Backup and Restore Backup.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The system displays the Cluster DB Backup page.
In the Backup section, select the services to back up.
In the Job schedule section, enter the following details:
In the Backup password field, enter a password.
In the Schedule Job field, to run an immediate backup select Run immediately. Otherwise, select Schedule later and enter the required details in the Task Time, Recurrence, and Range fields.
Click Backup.
To monitor the status of the backup, click Backup and Restore Job Status.
To cancel a backup operation, click Backup and Restore Cancel.
