Configuring Signaling and Trunk Groups

Using Communication Manager, you create Signaling and Trunk Groups for the trunk between Session Manager and Communication Manager. You must configure Universal Call Identifier (UCID) on the Signaling and Trunk Groups.
  1. Using an SSH client: connect to the Communication Manager System Access Terminal (SAT) interface.
  2. On page 1 of the SIGNALING GROUP screen, perform the following steps:
    1. Set the Initial IP-IP Direct Media? field to y.
    2. Set the IP Video field to y.
    3. Set the Direct IP-IP Audio Connections field to y.
    4. Set the Session Establishment Timer (min) field to 65.
  3. On page 2 of the IP MEDIA PARAMETERS screen, set the Allow Direct-IP Multimedia field to y.
  4. Save the settings.
  5. Ensure that UUI is enabled on any trunks configured so that incoming calls to an Avaya Workspaces for Call Center Elite VDN contain the Agent ID as UUI.
  6. Run change trunk-group n.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    n is the number of the Trunk Group that you need to specify.
  7. On page 3 of the TRUNK FEATURES screen, perform the following steps:
    1. Set the UUI Treatment field to shared.
    2. Set the Send UCID? field to y.
  8. On page 4 of the SHARED UUI FEATURE PRIORITIES screen, ensure that the ASAI, UCID, and Collected Digits fields are not blank.
  9. Save the settings.
