Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) provides a simple set of operations to remotely manage devices on a network. SNMP is a most-widely deployed management protocol and is deployed in switches, routers, IP end-points, and applications. SNMP enables the basic monitoring and management for IP-enabled devices, systems, and applications. Avaya uses Net-SNMP to implement SNMP on the Avaya Aura® Communication Manager.
