Ensure you have a DC2 site Avaya Media Server (AMS) registered in Communication Manager and the Survivable Processor settings. If the DC2 AMS is not on Communication Manager, add it.
Procedure
To add a node name for AMS, do the following:
Run the following command: change node-names ip
In Name, type the AMS name.
In IP Address, enter the IP address.
Press F3.
To add a signaling group that points to the new node, do the following:
Run the following command: add signaling-group <x>
In Group Type, type sip.
In Peer Detection Enabled, type n.
In Peer Server, type AMS.
In Far-end Node Name, type DC2 AMS node name.
In Far-end Network Region, type 1.
Press F3.
To add a media server, do the following:
Run the following command: add media-server <x>
In Signaling Group, type the group number you configured in the previous step.
In Channel limit, type the required limit.
Press F3.
After configuring the AMS, run the following command: save translations
