Browser PAC File Configuration

Prolog information
Use the following process to connect to a server/service on the customer network using a web browser.
Important:
  • These instructions assume that the browser is not already configured to use a .pac or has its settings under IT management control. If that is the case, refer to Browser Connection Workarounds.
  1. Obtain the address for the COM .pac file. See Getting the COM PAC File Address. For example https://admin.example.com/com/remoteproxy/proxy.pac.
  2. Enter the address into the browser settings:

    2. Enter the address of the COM .pac file and save the change.
    Edge

    2. Enter the address of the COM .pac file and save the change.
    Firefox
    1. Click the Settings icon and select Options Options.
    2. Scroll down to Network Settings and click Settings.
    3. Select Automatic proxy configuration URL.
    4. Enter the address of the COM .pac file and click OK.
