Avaya Experience Platform (On-Prem + Connect) hybrid architecture

Last Updated : May 31, 2024 |

With Avaya Experience Platform™ (On-Prem + Connect), Avaya Experience Platform™ On-Prem customers who are on-premise can deploy Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway to use the Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud features from the cloud. Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway hosts application connectors that enable the integration of Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud services with Avaya Experience Platform™ On-Prem.

Note:

Avaya Cloud Delivery is responsible for downloading and deploying Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway as part of the Avaya Experience Platform™ (On-Prem + Connect) service activation. Customers cannot download Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway from Avaya PLDS.

  • CBSP is Common Business Services Process and is part of the IT ordering to the provisioning and billing system.

  • ADF is agent desktop adapter that communicates with the contact center in the backend.

  • UC3 is part of the cloud voice media server.

You can use Avaya Session Border Controller for Enterprise (Avaya SBCE) as an optional component to secure media between the enterprise network and the public cloud.

Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway is an all-in-one platform that runs as a Virtual Machine (VM) using Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) as its operating system. Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway can be deployed as an N+1 cluster to provide resiliency and zero downtime upgrade capabilities. The number of nodes deployed depends on the agent capacity that customers want to support. In the simplest deployment, a cluster comprises two nodes: a primary and a worker. If the customer requires additional nodes, these can be added as workers.

Avaya Experience Platform™ (On-Prem + Connect) is supported in a single Data Center (DC) or multiple DC deployments. Customers who require local High Availability (HA) but not Geo-Redundancy (GR) or Disaster Recovery (DR) capabilities use single DC deployments. Customers who want DR capabilities can deploy in two DCs.

Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud and Avaya Workspaces provide full multitenancy support. Hence, a single cluster of the Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud solution can support multiple Avaya Aura® or Avaya Experience Platform™ On-Prem customers. Each Avaya Aura® or Avaya Experience Platform™ On-Prem deployment is treated as a tenant within the Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud solution cluster. An Avaya Aura® system comprises a single System Manager with a GR or DR pair, multiple Session Manager and Communication Manager servers that the System Manager pair manages, and an optional Avaya Aura® Device Services.
