Single Sign On (SSO) for Workplace Client and one-X Portal

Spaces-based messaging service is no longer available in IP Office. Instead, Instant Messaging is available for use with OneXPortal. Users have the following options to log in to the Workplace client:
  • Single Sign On (SSO)
  • Username and Password
The SSO login support in Avaya Workplace Client improves authentication and user access. For SSO to work with IP Office, you must:
  • enable the SSO login
  • set the messaging server to OneXPortal
  • enable Avaya Cloud authentication
One X Portal handles the messaging service in the new environment. For more information, see the IP Office Avaya Workplace Client Installation Notes.

Default lower limit for J100 page volume

Release 12.3 introduces the SET_J100_PAGE_VOLUME_MIN parameter, which sets a default minimum page volume level of 10 that cannot be lowered than 10 unless you set the SET_J100_PAGE_VOLUME_MIN parameter value to 1. Setting the SET_J100_PAGE_VOLUME_MIN parameter value to 1 disables this minimum page volume limit and the page volume can be lowered than 10. This configuration is managed through Non-User Specific Numbers (NUSN) in both Manager and Web Manager. The maximum upper value of page volume is 16. The configured value is retained after restart or power loss.
J100 phones restart if a different volume level is set on the server side, and the value configured on the server side overrides.

Migration to Dell R660

IP Office Release 12.3 supports migrating an IP Office system from an HP DL360 server running version 11.1.3.2 to a Dell R660 server running IP Office 12.3 using the same production IP address. If you are using prior IP Office releases, you must first upgrade to R11.1.3.2 before migrating to 12.3. For more information, see the Migrating IP Office on HP DL360 to Dell R660.
