Prolog information
Use this page to manage e-mail server settings. You can configure multiple e-mail servers but only one e-mail server is used to send e-mail notifications when alarms are generated.
Column
Description
Name
Name of the e-mail server.
Default
The status of the e-mail server. The options are:
  • Current Default: The e-mail server is set as the current default.
  • <Make Default>: The e-mail server is not set as the current default. To set as current default, click on <Make Default>.
Note:
Ensure that the Enable field of the current default e-mail server is set to Yes.
Only one e-mail server can be set as the current default e-mail server.
Enable
Whether you want to enable sending e-mails.
The options are:
  • Yes
  • No
SMTP Server Address
IP address of the e-mail server.
SMTP Port
E-mail server port.
Use Authentication
Whether the Avaya Experience Portal system should identify if the user has permissions to send or receive e-mails.
The options are:
  • Yes
  • No
To send or receive e-mails through EPM servers, you must use the user id and password specified when setting the e-mail server.
Transport Protocol
The transport protocol used for sending or receiving e-mails.
The options are:
  • TLS
  • TCP
The default is TCP.
