AIDE commands

This section provides information about Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment (AIDE) commands for updating or creating an AIDE database and running an on-demand AIDE report.

aideDBUpdate

This command creates or updates the AIDE database. If the AIDE database already exists, a report is generated before refreshing the database.

aideCheck

This command generates the AIDE report and stores the output in the /var/log/aide/aide_output.log or /var/log/messages. AIDE is configured to generate a report once a day. The user does not have permission to configure the AIDE.

setSecurityPolicy

This command is used to enable or disable AIDE. AIDE can be enabled in the hardened mode and can be turned on through the custom mode.
