Session Manager Groups

To support policy-based assignment, the administration of a region and location to region mapping is performed on the Session Manager Groups page.

Region administration

To create a Region group, select the Enable Policy Based Assignment of Session Managers global setting. A Region group requires a minimum of one Session Manager and a minimum of two Session Managers if the same region is assigned to a communication profile more than once (for example, primary and secondary region).

If the Region is not referenced in a Location to Region Mapping or in a user's Session Manager profile, you can delete Regions with Session Managers assigned.

Location-region mapping

To create a location to region mapping, select the Enable Policy Based Assignment of Session Managers global setting. On the Session Manager Groups page, you can perform the location mapping in two ways:

  • Assign individual locations with the desired primary through the fourth region.

  • In the Regions to Assign to selected locations section, select the desired region in order and assign them to multiple locations at once.

To delete a location from the Elements > Routing > Locations page, remove the region mapping associated with the location.
