Call Routing Test

Last Updated : Jan 29, 2021 |

You can use the Call Routing Test to test the routing of a SIP INVITE based on the current Session Manager administration options. You can run the test on core Session Manager and Branch Session Manager instances. The Call Routing Test:

  • Verifies whether the Session Manager administration is correct before placing Session Manager into service.

  • Troubleshoots, if a certain type of call is not being routed as expected.

  • Highlights the effects of adaptation by displaying the generated SIP INVITE request before and after adaptation.

  • Tests regular expression adaptations before they are put into production. If a regular-expression adaptation is in test-only state, the adaptation does not apply to real calls, but the Call Routing Test uses the adaptation for testing.

The Call Routing Test does not send SIP messages. The test invokes call processing by using the debugging mode to test the routing of a SIP INVITE.
