Remote syslog server configuration

You can configure remote syslog servers for a single Session Manager or for multiple Session Managers:

  • Single Session Manager Use the Session Manager Administration page on the System Manager web console at Elements > Session Manager > Session Manager Administration.

  • Multiple Session Managers Use the System Manager Solution Deployment Manager page at Services > Solution Deployment Manager > Application Management > Configure Remote Syslog Profile.

Note:

If you manually configure the syslog options within an individual Session Manager’s rsyslog.conf file and do not want to overwrite these settings, add the following line in the rsyslog.conf file: #NO-AUTO-CONF.

The content of the following log files is forwarded to the remote syslog server:

  • /var/log/Avaya/asm-install.log

  • /var/log/Avaya/asset/asset.log

  • /var/log/Avaya/asset/spirit_asset.log

  • /var/log/Avaya/trace/tracer_asset.log

  • /var/log/A:nvaya/asset/nginx_error.log

  • /var/log/Avaya/initTM.log

  • /var/log/Avaya/martian.log

  • /var/log/Avaya/postgres/postgres.log

  • /var/log/Avaya/mgmt/sdm/sdm.log

  • /var/log/Avaya/mgmt/sdm/status.log

  • /var/log/Avaya/SMnetSetup.log

  • /var/log/Avaya/mgmt/tm/upgrade.log

  • /var/log/cmd_history.log

  • /var/log/messages

  • /var/log/secure

  • /var/log/cron

  • /var/log/boot.log

  • /var/log/Avaya/ncs/ncsd.log
