Server Timer section

Name

Description

Subscription Expiration Timer (secs)

The maximum time for a SIP server to keep a SIP client as subscribed. The range is 600–86400 seconds.

Registration Expiration Timer (secs)

The maximum time for a SIP server to keep a SIP client as registered. The range is 600–3600 seconds.

Endpoint Timer section

Description

Line Reservation Timer (secs)

The maximum time a SIP server can reserve a SIP line appearance. The range is 30–240 seconds. The default value is 30 seconds.

Reactive Monitoring Interval (secs)

The duration a phone must attempt to REGISTER when the proxy server is not reachable or available. The range is 10–3600 seconds. The default is 60 seconds.

Timer B (sec)

The duration a phone waits before proceeding to another proxy server if the phone does not receive a response to a SIP INVITE. The range is 0 -32 seconds. 0 disables this feature. The default value is 4 seconds.

Maintenance Settings section

Description

IP Address(es) For SNMP Queries

The IP address of a server that can query the phone for SNMP messages. The server must have the correct community string. If this field is blank, any server can query the phone.

You can enter IPv4 or IPv6 addresses in this field.

SNMP Community

SNMP community name. This string is a challenge, and a response for the phone and the server specified in the IP Address(es) For SNMP Queries field. If a server IP address is specified, the server and the phone must have the same community name administered. Only alphabetic characters are allowed, and the length cannot exceed 32 characters.

Station Admin Password

The password that an administrator must enter on a SIP phone to log in and administer the phone. Only numeric values are accepted, and the password cannot exceed 32 digits. This is an optional field.

Note:

All End Points except 96x1 with 7.1 firmware use Station Admin Password to log in.

Station Access Code

Code that an administrator must enter on a SIP phone to log in and administer the phone. This field accepts numeric, lowercase, uppercase alphabets, and special characters. This is an optional field.

Confirm Station Access Code

The Station Access Code retyped for confirmation.

Quick Login Status

Specify whether users must enter a password when logging in to the phone. The choices are:

  • Password Entry Required

  • Quick Login Allowed

VoIP Monitoring Manager section

Name

Description

IP Address

The IP address of the Avaya VoIP Monitoring Manager server.

You can enter IPv4 or IPv6 addresses in this field.

Port

The port that the Avaya VoIP Monitoring Manager server uses. The range is 1–65,535. The default port is 5005.

Reporting Period

The frequency at which an endpoint must send its RTCP packets to the Avaya VoIP Monitoring Manager server. The range is 5–30 seconds. The default value is 5 seconds.

Volume Settings section

Receiver Volume

Set the volume in the handset instead of the speaker. The range is 0-10. The default value is 5.

Ringer Cadence

Set the cadence of the ringtone. The range is 1-8. The default value is 1.

Ringer Volume

Set the ringer setting for the bridged appearance buttons of the station. The range is 1-10. The default value is 5.

Speaker Volume

Set the volume on the speaker instead of the handset. The range is 0-10. The default value is 5.

VLAN Parameters section

Indicates whether VLAN is supported. The VLAN ID field is hidden if this option is not selected.

Call Control PHB Value

The range is 0-63. The default value is 46.

Audio PHB Value

The range is 0-63. The default value is 46.

Video PHB Value

The range is 0-63. The default value is 26.

802.1 P/Q Parameters section

Call Control 802.1p Priority

The range is 0-7. The default value is 6.

Audio 802.1p Priority

The range is 0-7. The default value is 6.

Video 802.1p Priority

The range is 0-7. The default value is 5.

Time Zone section

Name

Description

Time Zone

The time zone of the user. The time zone is provided as a time zone name, for example, America/New_York.

Session Manager provides the time zone to the endpoint in response to the PPM get-AllEndpointConfiguration request from the phone. By default, the time zone field is empty.

The endpoint can locally determine the Daylight Savings settings appropriate to the named time zone from the https://www.iana.org/time-zones/ database.

IPv6 Settings section

You can view and update the Media Address Mode and Signaling Address Mode fields after selecting the Enable IPv6 field on the Global Settings page.

Signaling Address Mode

The IP address type that the endpoints support. Set Signaling Address Mode to one of the following:

  • 4: The value defines the IP address of type IPv4.

  • 6: The value defines the IP address of type IPv6.

Session Manager sets IP address family settings on the phone in response to the PPM get-AllEndpointConfiguration request from the phone. The endpoints use the IP address family settings to establish Signaling Address Mode.

Media Address Mode

The IP address type that the endpoints support. Set Media Address Mode to one of the following:

  • 4: The value defines the IP address of type IPv4.

  • 6: The value defines the IP address of type IPv6.

  • 46: The value defines the IP address of type IPv4 and IPv6 with the IPv4 address type preferred.

  • 64: The value defines the IP address of type IPv6 and IPv4 with the IPv6 address type preferred.

Session Manager sets IP address family settings on the phone in response to the PPM get-AllEndpointConfiguration request from the phone. The endpoints use the IP address family settings to establish Media Address Mode.
