Configuring the use of CA certificates for Avaya push notifications provider

About this task

The push notification server's public CA certificate must first be added to the Websphere truststore before Session Manager can connect to the Avaya push notification provider and use the push notification service. You must install the CA certificate used to sign the Avaya push notification provider (pnp.avaya.com) web server identity certificate on the System Manager web console for the appropriate Session Manager. For details regarding certificate use for Apple or Android push notification, refer to PSN020509u.

Procedure

  1. On the System Manager web console, click Services > Inventory > Manage Elements.
  2. On the Manage Elements page, select one or more elements, and click More Actions > Manage Trusted Certificates.
  3. Click Add.
  4. In the Select Store Type to add trusted certificate field, select WEBSPHERE.
  5. Select Import as PEM certificate.
  6. Locate the PEM certificate.
  7. Open the certificate using Notepad.
  8. Copy the entire contents of the file. You must include the start and end tags: -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----" and "-----END CERTIFICATE----.
  9. Paste the contents of the file in the box provided at the bottom of the page.
  10. Click Commit.
