Enabling external guest communications

Enable users to receive messages from external guests to allow authorized external users to participate in chats and meetings with your team. Enabling external messages can result in spam messages. To manage this, you can:
  • Enable external messages and block specific domains or email addresses.
  • Disable external messages and allow specific domains or email addresses.
The following steps describe how to enable external messages and block specific domains and email addresses.
  1. Click SettingsAdministrationMessaging.
  2. In the External guest settings section, enable the External guest communications switch.
  3. To block specific domains or email addresses, do the following:
    1. Next to the Domain allow/block list, click Manage.
    2. In the Domain allow/block list window, click Add new.
    3. In the Add new domain or email address window, type the domain or email address.
    4. In the Status section, select Block.
    5. Click Add, and then click Done.
