Configuring your personal meeting ID and meeting name

Last Updated : Aug 09, 2024 |
Prolog information
Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App provides a default personal meeting ID (PMI) and a name for your virtual meeting room. You can change your PMI and meeting name.
Your PMI consists of 9 digits. If your PMI does not have 9 digits, Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App displays the ID must have 9 digits warning message.
Optionally, you can set up a personal meeting name, which participants can use to join your meetings instead of the PMI.
Tip:
Unlike a PMI, a personal meeting name can contain letters. Therefore, a personal meeting name might be easier to remember than a PMI.
Your personal meeting name must comply with the following requirements:
  • Contain at least one letter.
  • Contain from 5 to 40 characters.
  • Contain only letters, digits, underscore (_), dash (-), and period (.) characters.
  • End with a letter or a digit.
If your personal meeting name does not comply with the requirements, Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App displays the following warning message: The name doesn't meet all the requirements.
  1. On the side menu bar, click the Video tab.
  2. From the Upcoming meetings tab, click Personal meeting.
  3. From the context menu, click the View Settings icon.
    STEP RESULT:
Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App displays the Personal meeting settings window.
  4. In the Personal meeting ID field, type a new PMI of your choice.
  5. In the Personal meeting name field, type a name for your meetings.
  6. Click Save.
