Making calls on behalf of other users

If a line owner delegates their line to you, you can make calls on their behalf. Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App notifies the line owner when you make a call through their delegated line. You can put the ongoing call on hold and allow the line owner to answer the call.
  1. On the side menu bar, click the Phone tab.
  2. In the Phone side pane, click the HUD tab.
    STEP RESULT:
    Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App displays your HUD extensions in the center pane.
  3. In the center pane, next to EXTENSIONS, click the Filter IconDelegated lines.
  4. Hover over a delegated line and click the Audio Call icon.
    STEP RESULT:
    Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App displays the Caller ID set for <delegated line name> message at the top of the dial pad.
  5. In the Enter a name or number field, type the contact name or the phone number.
  6. Click the contact name or phone number to call.
    STEP RESULT:
    Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App launches the call on behalf of the line owner.
  7. To have your contact answer the call, click the Call on hold icon on the dial pad and wait for the line owner.
    STEP RESULT:
    Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App puts the call on hold until the line owner answers the call.
