Selecting the types of new messages to display

Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App always displays the number of your new messages next to the Message tab icon on the side menu bar. By default, Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App counts all unread direct and group messages as new. You can customize this setting through the following options:
  • All new messages: Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App counts all unread direct and group messages as new.
  • Direct messages and mentions only: Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App limits new messages to unread direct messages and mentions in group conversations.
  1. Click SettingsMessage.
  2. In the Conversation list area, from the New message badge count list, select one of the following options:
    • All new messages
    • Direct messages and mentions only
    STEP RESULT:
    Avaya Cloud Office Desktop App updates the number of unread messages displayed on the side menu bar.
