The following checklist describes the high-level deployment steps you must perform to install the Avaya Aura® Device Services application on virtual machines:

Install or restore a standalone Avaya Aura® Device Services application or the initial node for an Avaya Aura® Device Services cluster.

Optionally, you can perform a silent installation as described in Performing a silent installation.

These procedures apply to standalone and cluster deployment types.

If you deploy a cluster, install additional Avaya Aura® Device Services nodes.

If you deploy a cluster, configure RSA keys for SSH connections after all additional nodes are installed.

In an Avaya Aura® environment, check for DRS synchronization.

If you deploy Avaya Aura® Device Services in a Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure virtual environment, perform additional post-installation procedures.

If you deploy a cluster on Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure, you can complete the virtual environment configuration only after installing the Avaya Aura® Device Services application layer. Perform the following procedures:

Change the default Cassandra database password.

If you deploy a cluster and enable OAuth, enable OAuth database replication.
