Avaya Aura® Device Services does not support the System Manager geographic redundancy mode. If the primary System Manager fails, Avaya Aura® Device Services does not switch to the secondary System Manager automatically. During the System Manager outage period, all operations from Avaya Aura® Device Services to System Manager, such as enrollment, DRS synchronization, or certificate management operations, are unavailable. In certain circumstances, for example, immediately after installation and the first restart, Avaya Aura® Device Services is not available until the primary System Manager is restored.
If you need to use Avaya Aura® Device Services before the primary System Manager is back online, you must enroll Avaya Aura® Device Services against the secondary System Manager. When the primary System Manager is back online, you must manually re-enroll Avaya Aura® Device Services against the primary System Manager.
Note:
Avaya Aura® Device Services does not use System Manager when deployed in an environment without Avaya Aura®. Therefore, this operation is not applicable for deployments without Avaya Aura®.
