Certificate revocation

Last Updated : Dec 09, 2021 |

Avaya Contact Center – Extended Capacity supports certificate revocation to validate server and component certificates. CAs keep track of SSL certificates. A CA revokes a certificate under one of the following conditions:

  • Certificate private key is compromised.

  • CA does not issue a valid certificate.

  • Organization details listed in the certificate change.

  • Identified server or component does not comply with the certificate policy requirements.

After the CA revokes an SSL certificate, the CA retrieves the certificate serial number and adds it to the certificate revocation list. The contact center cannot use the secure TLS connection to connect to a server or component with a revoked certificate. To use the secure TLS connection again, the CA must reissue the required certificates.
